Plant-based alternatives

With plant-based alternatives, we offer consumers choices for an even more sustainable lifestyle. We produce both chocolates and sweets from purely vegetable ingredients, for example the Schogetten and FRITT brands, as well as block chocolates and couvertures for private labels. To provide clear orientation for consumers, most of our products for the European Union markets are marked with the “vegan” variant of the V-Label. We use alternative labels in other countries.

Vegan confectioneries

We use gelatin in the classic FRITT chewy strips. In many of our fruity vegan FRITT varieties, we have replaced this key texturizer with a blend of plant-based ingredients, including gum arabic and rice protein. The development process for the best possible chewing experience was complex but successful: 97 percent of testers rated the taste as good to very good in a product test.
